Quick start
What Asondy does
Asondy runs your checks inside the AI coding agent's session, so code reaches review already passing them. Action gates check each agent action before it runs, code gates check the code before it is pushed, and the goal loop plans, builds and reviews the work. The dashboard shows what happened.
Install and start a session
Create a free account, then add a device under Settings > API > Devices. Run the install command it shows on that machine (Node.js 22 or newer, macOS or Linux), then restart your coding tool.
ASONDY_DEVICE_KEY=<device key> npx create-asondy install claude
For Codex, review and trust the installed hooks through /hooks. See Install for updates and removal.
Updates arrive on their own
You never update by hand. When a session starts, Asondy checks for a new release in the background, at most once per check interval: the session does not wait, and nothing is printed. A new release then reaches every door the install set up, including the Claude Code plugin, the cloud bundle and the hooks of Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, OpenCode and the other supported tools, and the prebuilt binary for your platform when a release ships one. A git checkout updates by fast-forwarding its clean main with git pull, so the release checks below do not apply to it, and a pin stops its pull.
Each release is checked before it is installed. The release's SHA256SUMS and cloud manifest must match an Ed25519 signature from the release key that ships with Asondy, and every file must match its SHA256SUMS line. A release older than the one you run is refused. After the install a self-test runs the hooks, and any failure puts every changed file back as it was. The result of each check is in update/state.json inside the skill folder.
To pin or switch off updates, set autoUpdate in update-config.json inside the skill folder, ~/.claude/skills/asondy:
{ "autoUpdate": { "enabled": false } }
{ "autoUpdate": { "pin": "version:4.7.0", "intervalHours": 24 } }
A pin is version:<x> or commit:<prefix>. An organization sets the same keys in a managed file that users cannot change, and its keys win: /Library/Application Support/asondy/managed.json on macOS, /etc/asondy/managed.json on Linux and %ProgramData%\asondy\managed.json on Windows. ASONDY_NO_AUTOUPDATE=1 or CI=true turns updates off for that process.
Give the loop a goal
Describe the outcome and what counts as success.
/asondy Add password reset. Verify that links expire, cannot be reused, and never reveal whether an account exists.
The loop splits the goal into scoped work, runs the checks and reviews the result before it is done. See Workflow.
Know what is active
What an action gate can block depends on the hooks your coding tool exposes.
- Claude Code: every action gate and code gate.
- Kimi Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and Qwen Code: the push gate and model policy.
- OpenCode, Hermes and Cursor agent: telemetry.
Gates lists each gate and where it runs.
Verify the submitted revision
The server fetches the submitted commit, runs the configured gates and returns a verdict for that revision. Changed code needs a new verdict. See Verification.
Connect the cloud relay
The relay carries session events, usage and conversation turns to the dashboard. Review the data flow before you connect a repository with confidential or personal data.
The install command writes the machine's device key into the hooks it installs. A device key pushes that machine's sessions and reads nothing.
Configure the cloud relay, see what we receive or read how data is handled.
Questions
What is Asondy?
Asondy adds deterministic quality gates to AI coding agents. Gates check code, tests and delivery conditions at supported workflow stages, and a goal loop plans, implements and independently reviews work before it is marked done.
Which AI coding tools does Asondy support?
Claude Code has the full integration. Codex, Gemini CLI, Qwen Code and Kimi Code get the push gate and model policy, and OpenCode, Hermes and Cursor agent get telemetry.
How do I install Asondy?
Create a free account, add a device under Settings > API > Devices and run the install command it shows, ASONDY_DEVICE_KEY=<device key> npx create-asondy install claude, on Node.js 22 or newer. Then restart your coding tool.
Does Asondy replace CI or branch protection?
No. Keep branch protection and CI on; the repository still decides what merges.
Does Asondy send my code to the cloud?
A connected machine sends session events, usage information and each turn: its role, length and a hash of its text. Content sharing is off until the org owner turns it on; then turn text, which can contain code, is sent too. Data gate scans prompts and tool traffic only after you turn it on. Read the privacy notice before you connect a repository that holds confidential or personal data.
Does Asondy cost anything?
The Free plan costs nothing and keeps every action gate and code gate and the dashboard. Paid plans and add-ons are on the pricing page. Asondy is licensed under the Elastic License 2.0.
What does the name Asondy stand for?
Agentic Systems ON Deterministic Yield.
